Hampton by Hilton, Canterbury

A new build mixed use hotel lead development including a 129 bed Hampton by Hilton hotel, 2 ground floor retail units, and separate rooftop restaurant with spectacular views over Canterbury Cathedral. Once completed it will provide Canterbury with a high quality large hotel within the city walls, with just a 2 minute walk to the Cathedral. CMC were appointed as cost managers from pre-planning through to full turnkey completion. The enabling works (phase 1) where completed using a Construction Management route which was organised and managed by CMC. This phase included the demolition of the 1960’s part of the site, full archaeological dig and restoration of the 2 Listed Buildings. CMC then tendered phase 2 (the new build) which was successfully bid by RGB. RGB are now progressing phase 2, and the client is looking to open mid 2021.
