This project started its life as a new build 4 storey mixed use project on a brownfield open site comprising 7nr apartments and a ground floor B1 commercial unit. CMC were appointed from an early stage to carry out the full commercial services on the project. Once works commenced onsite however, it was quickly discovered that there was a previously unknown below ground basement present that covered the demise of the site. CMC worked closely with the client’s design team to incorporate this basement into the design and successfully negotiated with the appointed contractor to incorporate these works into the building contract. The project is currently onsite and due for completion in Q4 2017.
