Construction Management Consulting were appointed by Miller Construction to oversee the commercial management of both this and the Porters Avenue Health projects. Both projects are two of a number of schemes constructed by Miller Construction as partners to the Barking and Havering LIFT Company Ltd.

The Barking Child and Family Centre is a 5 story mixed use reinforced concrete frame building. The first three floors comprise of a health facility for the PCT which includes a dentistry suite with OPG, Audiology rooms, 4 GP practices as well as community services such as child development centre, physiotherapy, young people's services, podiatry and a health shop. The top two floors comprise of 22 flats which are part of the Southern Housing Group’s affordable homes scheme.

Our role, with the support from Miller’s own surveyors under our direction, was to commercially managed all aspects of the project from pre-contract to practical completion, ensuring the smooth running both in terms of its commercial performance and delivery of the project in general.
